The productivity increases achieved create room for new projects

Komax has been driving fully automatic wire and cable processing in high-volume markets such as the automotive industry for over 40 years. Digitalization in control cabinet construction, with the generation of machine-readable production data, now makes our machines economical even for lot sizes 1

Central wire processing

Parallel instead of sequential saves 65% processing time

Specialization and automation leads to reduced working time in all process steps. With a central data source, you can pre-produce material and thus parallelize work steps and considerably reduce throughput times.

A time saving of 80% on wiring and 65% on the total lead time of a typical control cabinet project can be achieved. Here we show how.

ZETA

ZETA

ZETA

Fully automatic wire processing

The ZETA family is a scalable machine platform for strand production. With a few process stations for the OEM and up to 13 process stations for the contract manufacturer, it offers maximum flexibility.

One machine with its high productivity supplies all assembly stations with clearly identifiable connections. Reading of wiring diagrams becomes superfluous.

OMEGA

OMEGA

Wiring of connectors and entire assemblies

The OMEGA family can make high-precision connections from wires to components. This allows the creation of wire harnesses or pre-wired assemblies. These can be terminal blocks, components or connectors with push-in or spring-cage technology.

The connection lengths are calculated directly in E-CAD from the 3D structure. The contact type information is drawn from the component data. The wire sequence and bundling is transferred directly to the Komax machine.

If the connection lists are incomplete, they can be supplemented in Komax's own software. Even the length can be determined subsequently by means of virtual wiring.

An elegant way to determine the length if a 3D structure is missing.
